Pattaya parties despite

 bomb blasts in the capital

Despite the turmoil in Bangkok, celebrations went ahead without incident in Pattaya. Security was stepped up but that didn’t keep thousands of revelers bringing in 2007 with plenty of cheer. 5 die in Christmas Eve crash on Sukhumvit

Five people were killed when the car they were traveling in hit a power pole on Sukhumvit Road in the early hours of December 24.
The accident happened in front of the Pattaya Iron Steel Center Shop near to Jittapawan College. The car was speeding in the direction of Chonburi.
Police, Sawang Boriboon Foundation officers and a physician from Banglamung Hospital were called to the scene where they found that the vehicle, a black BMW series 312i, had plowed into the front of the iron shop and then hit a power pole. All five people in the car were killed on impact.

Bangkok Pattaya Hospital celebrates 16th anniversary

Bangkok Pattaya Hospital celebrated its 16th anniversary on December 20, with hospital director Dr Piras Pradithwanit leading a Buddhist ceremony featuring nine monks to commemorate the occasion. Senior doctors, including Dr Yingdao Krairuek, chief executive officer of Bangkok Eastern Hospital Group, and Kamjorn Suriyasin, assistant director of Bangkok Pattaya Hospital, were also present.

The 2nd annual “Golden Gloves Pattaya” junior boxing tournament was held December 21-27 at The Thepprasit Boxing Ring. Famous boxing trainer Yodthong Sriwararak presided over the opening of the competition, which included many novice boxers from the Chonburi region.
