The next Pattaya City Expats Club (PCEC)
meeting will be on Sunday, February 14 and everyone is warmly welcome to
attend. The club meets every Sunday morning at Henry J. Bean’s Restaurant on
the north end of Beach Road in the grounds of the Amari Orchid Resort. The
program starts as usual at 10:30 a.m. with a buffet breakfast available from
9:30 to 11 a.m. Each week the PCEC has an interesting speaker to talk on
various subjects of interest in an informal setting. The speaker for this
Sunday will Tony Wheely, who will be speaking on the fur trade. This talk
will be followed by the ever lively and often humorous Open Forum where
questions are asked and answers given about living in Pattaya as well as an

For the past 28 years
the Samaritans of Thailand have been providing confidential crisis
intervention services over the telephone. The English-speaking unit,
Samaritans English Help Line operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to
provide support to the expatriate community. English-speaking staff, trained
in crisis intervention will provide active, non-judgmental and empathetic
listening services on the phone. All calls will be handled on an anonymous

amateurs dramatics group invites you to yet another fast-paced, interactive
murder mystery dinner production, entitled Café Murder at Le Café Royale in
South Pattaya on Saturday, February 20 and Sunday, Februrary 21. This
production is the fourth in a series of uniquely interactive theatrical
offerings, written by Nathan Hartswick and directed by Ray Lightbown. Each
guest will be responsible for figuring out the mystery of the night and will
be encouraged to interact with the cast members who will be milling about
throughout the evening. In addition, the ever-popular singing troupe, “El
Duo” will be performing in between scenes. As an added bonus, prizes will be
given to the most accurate and most creative sleuths of the evening. The
show runs only two nights and tickets must be purchased in advance as
