producers and consumers from all over Thailand and the world converged on
Pattaya for an Industry Ministry workshop at Central Festival Pattaya Beach.

About 50 food producers were given tips on product
development and packaging in an Industry Ministry workshop aimed at
improving their economic prospects.
The Dec. 9 event at Central Festival Pattaya Beach was
sponsored by the ministry’s Food Institute and the Pattaya City Council’s
Tourism & Sports Committee.
Food Institute Director Pet Chinbut said the workshop is
part of a ministry economic-development program emphasizing new product
development and attractive packaging. The goal is to grow Thailand’s food
industry to have it contribute more to the national economy.
Tourism & Sports Committee Chairman Rattanachai
Sutidechanai said such events are also good for tourism, as manufacturers
need to travel to Pattaya to attend such seminars.
