Pattaya-area officials and community leaders joined
together to wish Pattaya Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome a happy 37th birthday
at a party at the mayoral residence.
The mayor began the Dec. 15 party with the lighting
of candles and joss sticks and prayers from Buddhist monks. He then
invited guests to join him for lunch at his Naklua home, where more than
30 food and beverage booths were waiting.
Among the many guests were relatives Wittaya Kunplome,
chief executive of the Chonburi Provincial Administration Organization,
Sonthaya Kunplome, a former Chonburi MP, Chonburi Gov. Wichit Chatpaisit,
Mongkol Thamakittikhun, chief officer of the Banglamung District
Administration Office, and Sansak Ngampichet former representative for
Chonburi.
Itthiphol was born Dec. 15, 1973 in Chonburi. He
graduated with bachelor’s degree in law from Chulalongkorn University
and master’s degree in law from Golden Gate University in the United
States. He is the eighth mayor of Pattaya and took office on May 4,
2008.
