Chonburi Gov. Wichit Chatpaisit presided over the
March 2 opening of a drug rehabilitation camp, part of the government’s
three-month program to drastically reduce drug use in the province.

rehabilitation camp in Chonburi.
Overseen by the Chonburi Probation Office, the clinic
held at the Training and Development of Public Health in Chonburi was
required for drug offenders otherwise locked away on simple possession
charges. The hope was to treat the drug user’s addictions and develop
their life skills to avoid relapses.
Probation Director Alongkorn Kanchamachiwa said 60 people attended
the camp, working with region 2 police to overcome drug problems.
