the traditional Thai New Year with merit-making and water blessings.
The April 11 ceremony saw enlisted men and officers
sprinkle water on images of Buddha and the elderly as part of the Rod Nam
Dam Hua ceremony. They also released 84,000 small fish into the Royal Thai
Navy unit’s reservoir to bring good luck for the coming year.
