and charged with manufacturing and possession with intent to sell Class 1
narcotics as well as illegal import and export of narcotics.
Boonlua Chatree
Pattaya, Laem Chabang and Chonburi police announced the
arrest of an Iranian national who allegedly was manufacturing and
distributing large amounts of crystal methamphetamines in Pattaya and
Bangkok.
The apprehension of Ahmad Hassan Ghasghaei, 39, was
announced June 12. He was captured in his Bangkok apartment with more than
61 grams of ya ice as well as meth-cooking ingredients and equipment.
Clothes the suspect was wearing while under surveillance and his mobile
phone were also seized.
Chonburi Deputy Commander Col. Theerapol Jindaluang said
the arrest came after the small-time bust of Pantiwa Pangnok, who was in
possession of 0.18 g. of ya ice. She told police she’d purchased the drugs
from Ghasghaei and told police how to contact him. Undercover officers then
set up a fake drug-buy to arrest the alleged dealer.
He was charged with manufacturing and possession with intent to sell
Class 1 narcotics as well as illegal import and export of narcotics.
