More than 100 Amari Orchid Resort & Tower employees donated blood to Rajadhevi Sriracha Hospital.

Hotel Executive Assistant Manager Latiporn Tongkhunna led the July 24 drive organized in cooperation with Skyline Health Center and Bangpakok 8 Hospital, which provided free health check-ups to workers.

The doctors check blood pressure, took x-rays, examined for various diseases and offered eye exams.

Latiporn said the hotel organized the health fair for workers, as many are too busy to take preventative health steps. It also let employees make merit by donating to the blood bank, she said.

Hotel accountant Chutima Chorthong said she was happy to donate blood and encouraged others to do so, as much of the blood is sent to military officers in Thailand’s troubled south.

Anon Senawong, managing director for Skyline Service Co., said he sees many full-time workers neglect their health care and encouraged companies seeking to ensure good health for their employees to hire his company.

Agencies or private companies wanting to donate blood to the Thai Red Cross through Rajadhevi Sriracha Hospital can contact 038-322-157-9.
