Central Festival Pattaya Beach and the Provincial Waterworks Authority
joined forces to renovate toilets and beautify landscapes at Big Buddha
Temple.
More than 300 employees volunteered for the Aug. 27 activity organized
by the beachfront Pattaya shopping mall at Wat Phra Yai in South
Pattaya. It was one of 10 projects targeting communities and religious
institutions.
Central Department Stores Region 3 Director Saran Tantijumnan led the
employees from Central Festival and Central Center in repairing toilets
and repainting restrooms.
Nong Nooch Tropical Garden donated plants and flowers to spruce up the
temple grounds. Sponsors Lampton Lighting Technology Co., Holiday Inn
Pattaya, and Hilton Pattaya also sponsored the event.
Saran said the renovations were one way Central can repay the public for
its patronage and support.
“This event has been held in more than 20 temples all over Pattaya over
the past two years,” Saran explained. “The activities had been well
received and sponsored by private organizations and the public sector.
Therefore, I would like to invite any agency that has the same visions
of wanting to return profits to the society to join in the project since
there are many more religious institutions and temples that still
require doors, roofs, windows and light bulbs.”
