Off-screen action proved scarier to an 80-year-old Sattahip woman when a
1.5-meter-long snake slithered through her living room while she was
watching television.
Chaluay Imduasuk called Sawang Rojthummasathan Foundation animal-rescue
officers Aug. 30 after the snake disappeared deep inside her two-story
house. After a search, officers found the green tree snake hiding in a
wall crevice.
Chaluay had asked rescuers to help move beds for her and her daughter to
another house, but when they discovered the snake was not poisonous they
decided to stay put.
About 4 cm. in diameter, the green snake was released back into the
jungle.
