Pattaya School No. 11 opened a medical center that will help treat the bumps and bruises collected by young students.
Nine monks chanted and blessed the 300,000 baht facility, funded through a donation by Sopin Thappajug, executive director of the Diana Group, and area Lions clubs.
Principal Jirasak Jitsom said the facility will provide first aid and have nurses on staff. There also are separate treatment rooms for boys and girls and an activity area at the front of the building for educational activities.
School No. 11 was established Sept. 30, 2009 on 16 rai in Nong Yai Sub-district. It features two classroom buildings, a multi-purpose facility and a swimming pool. It offers classes from Matthayom 1-6 with enrollment of 360 students, 225 in junior high and 135 in high school.
