The Royal Thai Navy’s Air and Coastal Defense Command again showed
off its readiness for battle with a parade of troops, vehicles and artillery
weapons.
ACDC commander Rear Adm. Noppadol Suphakorn reviewed the 550 troops as the
second parade in six months rolled on with 62 vehicles and 28 armaments at
the ACDC’s headquarters in Sattahip.
Capt. Aakhom Songkhroapanit led the march by five battalions, with the first
group comprised of the 1st Anti-Aircraft Artillery Regiment with 37mm
anti-aircraft cannons, eight paired antiaircraft guns and four 5-M1
directed-fire systems.
The second group was comprised of sailors and armaments
from the 2nd Anti-Aircraft Artillery Regiment with two 40/70mm anti-aircraft
guns, two Flycatchers, six 40/60mm anti-aircraft guns, and a pair of
shoulder-fired missiles.
The third parade regiment consisted of 1st Coastal Guards, and sponsoring
departments parading six 155mm guns with curved shells and six 130mm guns
with straight shells on 16 low trailers.
Sailors and equipment from the ACDC made up the next group, with two radar
masters and two 550 Bo-A patrol radars.
