Pattaya City, in cooperation with the Tourism Authority of Thailand and tourism related organizations, is organizing the 7th annual Pattaya Food & Hoteliers Expo, from August 8-10, 09.00 to 18.30 hrs., in the PEACH convention hall at the Royal Cliff beach Resort.
Pattaya Food & Hoteliers Expo ‘13 will be held as a public relations campaign and will enable hoteliers to exhibit their best efforts regarding tourism services. It is hoped this will stimulate the upgrade of Thai hotels’ service standards to be on par with international levels. There will also be a contest for service providers at the global level and at the national level to win the HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s Cup.
Athapol Vannakit, director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand Pattaya office, said briefly, “This event will be a showcase to exhibit Thailand’s potential in tourism... Normally, tourism events focus on accommodation or beauty of places, but in this event, we will emphasize the potential of services. If we can hold the event to establish reliability and to indicate our excellence in services, including food, beverage, cleanliness and other services in the room, I think the event will help upgrade our tourism, not only in Pattaya, but at the country level, from the perception of foreign tourists.”
This is the 7th event being held, hence assuring that the event has been well accepted by people in the tourism industry. It can help develop personnel, establishing excellent service standards to be used as a benchmark for quality tourism promotion which emphasizes tourism personnel in Thailand. Moreover, the year 2015 will be the starting point for countries in AEC, the tourism industry is one of the major industries that are important for the preparedness of Thailand. As a result, the organization of “Pattaya Food & Hoteliers Expo’13” is a part of development in terms of professional expertise, skills, capabilities, as well as hotel personnel, in order to be prepared for the upcoming AEC and to enable Thailand to be in an honorable position at that time.
