The Pattaya City Council has budgeted 17 million baht for a full slate
of tourism-driving events for 2014.
Rattanachai Sutidechanai, chairman of the council’s Tourism and Sports
Committee, said the budget covers a number of repeat events from past years as
well as new happenings.
Among the returning events will be the King’s Cup Jet Ski World Championship,
2nd International Remote-Controlled Boat Race, PTT Open tennis tournament,
International Bed Race, 4th Petanque Star Master Tournament, 2nd Royal Walk-Run,
17th Drive for Peace, and Pattaya Fashion Week.
Also in 2014 Pattaya will host the announcement of the nominees for the 23rd
Thai Film Suwannahong Award and Advertising Festival.
