Temperatures are rising in Sunday’s Khet Udomsak council election as a
candidate complained to police that someone was destroying campaign posters.
Rattanahcai Saengsri, head of Phalang Sattahip, went to Sattahip police after
discovering that posters for three of six candidates in the Feb. 16 poll were
shredded on Soi Wat Khaokhanman at the Yuttasart intersection.
In addition to councilman’s re-election poster, placards for Moo 9 village chief
Plern Kaewraemruan and Moo 6 village chief Wilailak Pichai also were destroyed.
Meanwhile, posters for non-politicians Prasong Watcharaphetranont, the owner of
a bamboo juice delivery business, Pichet Panphet, a former Moo 3 government
worker, and Piyarat Suksri, owner of a mushroom-breeding business, were left
intact.
