Walking on the Moon

Drivers using Sukhumvit Road near Thamsamakkee Temple could be
forgiven for thinking they took a wrong turn and ended up on the moon.
Pitted with meteorite-sized craters, the busy stretch of highway is so
pockmarked that it does, in places, resemble the lunar surface. If only
it had the same gravity, there might not be so many accidents.
Local resident Prinya Saesamrong said motorbikes particularly have to be
careful. If they hit a hole, they may crash. If they slam on the brakes,
they may get rear-ended by a truck. He suggested cyclists need to slow
down.
Residents hope city repair crews land soon.
