Pattaya Police are celebrating the first graduating class of police volunteers for 2014.
Superintendent Col. Supachai Phuikaewkhum presided over the March 7 closing ceremony for training of volunteers to supplement the city’s overworked police force. The class saw the graduation of 21 police and traffic volunteers.
After presenting certificates and reflective shirts to graduates, Supachai congratulated and blessed all, urging them to work diligently with honesty and discipline. He thanked them for sacrificing their time for public work.
The class was open to residents with clean records and no involvement with drugs. The training was for selected residents to understand and learn traffic rules and regulations, including uniforms and usage of polite language while on duty.
