Siriram Spa opens its doors

Manageress Rungratree Thongsai awaits with a warm welcome for customers at the Siriram Spa.

As soon as you enter the Siriram Spa you feel like you’ve been whisked away to the heartland of India. And no wonder, as the managing director is Tony Malhotra of the Pattaya Mail Media Group. His wife, the beautiful Khun Rungratree, who manages the Spa, is Thai, but she could be easily confused with an Indian actress. The name Siriram incidentally means “Holy Ram” and is attributed to the god Ram.

A secret recipe of Thai herbs used in the facial treatment can leave the skin feeling soft and glowing.

The spa is reminiscent of a room in an Indian palace, with its colorful hanging lamps, beautiful wallpaper and many sheer curtains - and yet everything also has a very modern feel to it. On the ground floor some comfortable chairs are waiting for customers who are looking forward to a soothing foot massage. On the upper floor are the rooms for facial treatments and body massages. The individual massage tables can be partitioned by airy curtains, but there are also single rooms for those who would like to enjoy more privacy. A pleasant scent hangs in the air and simultaneously both stimulates and soothes.

Ingredients for Signature Facial treatment at Siriram Spa.

My first treatment was a body scrub with the ancient healing Himalayan salt. The lady who was treating me quite skillfully left me feeling pampered and relaxed - so much so that I gently fell asleep, which is a very good sign concerning my well-being.
After the one hour long massage I took a shower and was amazed at how gentle and tender my skin had become again. Afterwards I received a facial treatment with Thai herbs that involved a cleansing and facial massage before a mask was applied, which was simply amazing. Immediately upon applying it it felt very rich and after the treatment my skin felt soft and smooth. I felt as if I’d gotten a mini facelift - and I definitely looked it.
When I asked Khun Rung about the ingredients of the mask she just smiled like a beauty out of a fairy tale from the 1001 Arabian nights and said that this was a much guarded secret. All my persistent questions did not help and I had to content myself with the wonderful results.
Fully happy, contented and embellished I left the Spa Siriram, but not without booking my next appointment in advance.
The Siriram Spa is in the building of the new Delight Residence at the Chayapornvittee Road, which is the connecting road from Sukhumvit to the Motorway and Highway no. 7, which also leads in the direction of Million Year Stone Park and Crocodile Farm.
