Hundreds of cyclists zipped through the streets of Pattaya to reduce global
warming and raise awareness about the need to reduce carbon dioxide
emissions from cars as Pattaya marked “Car-Free Day”.
The Sept. 22 event sponsored by city hall, the Thai Cycling Club and Cycling
Club of Pattaya saw riders leave from the King Taksin monument, zoom down
Beach Road, take South Road to Third Road, then pedal back to North Road and
to city hall again.
Events were scheduled nationwide to reduce traffic that affects the air,
curtail accidents and save time and costs while traveling, without affecting
the environment.
