Clubs

The Association of Filipinos in Thailand – Eastern Region Chapter will hold their annual Bingo-get-together on Sunday Sept. 29 beginning at 11 a.m. Meeting place is outside of the Ruen Thai Restaurant on Pattaya Second Road. For more information please call Virginia Sorensen on 01-762-2848.

The Pattaya International Ladies Club will host their October Luncheon on Tuesday October 1st from 10.30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Mon Ami Pierrot French Restaurant on Pattaya Beach Road at the end of Walking Street. Special guest speakers will be Mrs Mary Smith, wife to the British Ambassador and Swiss GP, Dr. Olivier Meyer. For the hungry, Shenanigans Pattaya now has free chili-con-carne with every drink on Mondays between noon and 2 p.m. and again from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday’s is the 100 baht specials. Steak Night (a big bowl of homemade soup, 400 gram t-bone steak a mass of chips and salad - all for 195 baht) is now on Wednesdays. Pasta Night for 195 baht "As much as you can eat" on Thursdays and don’t miss the Carvery on Saturday & Sunday. Tequila Reef on Soi 7 is celebrating the return of the NFL with game replays every Monday night through the season, and it’s a ‘Tailgate Party’ from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. every Tuesday. Events

The British Chamber of Commerce Thailand (BCCT) announced they have organized a Special Eastern Seaboard Dinner on Friday September 27 at 6.30 p.m. for a 7.00 p.m. start at the Royal Cliff Beach Resort, Pattaya. Guest speaker for this Special Eastern Seaboard Dinner is Senator Mechai Viravaidhaya. This special dinner is not restricted to BCCT members - non-BCCT members are also very welcome. The cost of this dinner is THB 800 per person including VAT. Bookings must be made in advance. The dress code is business suit or shirt and tie. An Opera Night of the Superlative will be held at the Grand Ballroom of the Royal Cliff Grand this Saturday, September 28 from 7 p.m. A 4-course Gourmet Dinner Gala Dinner will also be served at the Royal Cliff Grand where an ensemble of world-renowned and multi-awarded artistes from Opera and Concert Productions Worldwide, UK will perform live. The last Opera Night is still manifested in the memory of the people who have joined it. The same people asked to organize another fantastic event like this again. The Prince of Wales, Soi Khao Noi (Formosa) is really up and running. Pool, darts, cribbage, movies, sports and a better menu. Cookie still offers free pub grub every Friday night and a now a ‘beer and brunch fest’ @ 149 baht from 10 a.m. Sundays. Nice staff, nice atmosphere and always fun.
