This year the annual
Vegetarian Festival will be held from September 28 until October 8.
Supported by Pattaya City the festival will take place at the Sawang
Boriboon Thamasathan Foundation Naklua. The opening ceremony will be on
September 28, starting at exactly 12:19 p.m. with a parade from Bali Hai
Pier to the Sawang Boriboon Thamasathan Foundation in Naklua. Dragon and
lion dance show at Mike Shopping Mall along the parade route. The main
event then takes place, with English and Thai commentary, in Naklua after
the parade.
The Pattaya International
Ladies Club (PILC) will hold their Annual Holiday Bazaar
on Saturday, October 4, at the Royal Cliff Beach Resort in Pattaya
and all the proceeds will go to local charities. The Bazaar raffle tickets

The next meeting of
Pattaya City Expats Club (PCEC) will be on Sunday, September 28. The
club meets every Sunday morning at Henry J. Bean’s Restaurant on the north
end of Beach Road in the grounds of the Amari Orchid Resort. The program
starts as usual at 10:30 a.m. with a buffet breakfast available from 9:30 to
11 a.m., everyone welcome. This week the PCEC’s speaker will be Mr. Brad
Kenning, also known as Mojave Jake. He will be talking about the six years
he and his companion Molly spent traveling in the USA between California,
Arizona, and Colorado on a covered wagon drawn by a burro. His presentation
will be followed by the ever-lively open forum and an update on the

For the past 28 years the
Samaritans of Thailand have been providing confidential crisis
intervention services over the telephone. The English-speaking unit,
Samaritans English Help Line operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to
provide support to the expatriate community. English-speaking staff, trained
in crisis intervention will provide active, non-judgmental and empathetic
listening services on the phone. All calls will be handled on an anonymous
