Naklua Songkran organizing committee meets at Plathong Restaurant to discuss
preparations for the Naklua Wan Lai Festival.

Songkran is upon us and in Naklua officials plan to mark
the Thai New Year with a solemn tribute to monks and raucous water play and
entertainment.
Community leaders met April 4 at Plathong Restaurant 2 to
make final plans for Naklua’s April 18 “wan lai” Songkran finale.
The day will start with the giving of alms to local
monks, followed by a noon concert by pop idols the Sincharoen Brothers,
Mocca Garden and 10 others.
Highlights will include a foam party, more than 80 food
and drink booths and a Yamaha motorcycle show.
Volunteer safety teams will be on hand to keep the peace
and manage parking at Sawang Boriboon Foundation offices.
Banks and other government offices are closed through Sunday April 17.
