Pattaya voters will choose new city council members
for zones 2 and 3 in a special city election July 10.
Candidates for the seats vacated by Zone 2 Councilman
Adison Phonlookin and Zone 3 Councilman Wittaya Phonlookin - who both
resigned to run for parliament - filed election bids at Pattaya City
Hall June 5.
Vying for the Zone 2 council seat will be Kchiwit
Khunpolkarnkha and Nakhon Phonlookin, Adison’s nephew and son of the
Chonburi Administrative Organization’s vice president.
Zone 3 will be a contest between Suparuk Chanket and
Morakot Noohuang from the We Love Pattaya Party.
Nakhon said he always enjoyed assisting his father
and uncle to help the Nongyai area and has long worked for social
progress in the hopes of representing working families in local
politics.
Morakot said he hopes the city election - a week
after national elections - gets a good turnout.
