Pretend cop ticketed by real officers

Real” cops move in and arrest Chaisit Chaisae for impersonating an officer.

Boonlua Chatree

A man pretending to be a Roi Et police officer got a little too into his character and was nabbed by real police after annoying Thai tourists on Pattaya Beach.

Chaisit Chaisae, 31, of Saeraphum in Roi Et was fined 500 baht for disturbing the peace June 9 after beachgoers near Soi 11 complained to authorities he was strutting around acting like an Issan cop.

It turned out Chaisit was, in fact, a construction worker. He told officers he’d not victimized anyone and had simply put on airs because he was afraid he might get beaten up himself.
