Miss Thailand Universe was among the volunteers who packed 6,500 bags of emergency relief supplies for a royally backed foundation to aid flood victims.

Chansorn Sakornchan and her mother were joined July 7 at U-Tapao-Pattaya International Airport by more than 300 others from the Royal Thai Navy, Military Wives Club, Sattahip Tai Chi Club and Thai Red Cross to assemble the kits of 30 household items and necessities for the Princess Pa Foundation, founded by HRH Princess Soamsawalee.

The bags will be sent to current and future victims of flooding in Thailand’s north during the rainy season.

Chansorn said she was proud to be part of the effort to support disaster victims, but noted she was just one of many people doing good for their fellow countrymen.

HRH the Princess created the foundation after major floods in 1995 and continues to work toward closing the gap between victims’ needs and support from existing charity organizations.
