A motorcyclist was seriously injured when she plowed into
the back of a pickup truck that slammed on its brakes outside a Third Road
beer festival.
Sawang Boriboon Foundation rescue workers found Somjai
Kolansky, 45, unconscious July 2 next to her Yamaha Mio in front of the
X-Zyte nightclub where a draft beer and food fair was being staged in the
parking lot. She was not wearing a helmet.
Witnesses said Somjai had turned onto Third Road from Soi
Chaiyaphum when a black pickup truck hit the brakes due to crowding around
the food fair. The truck, filled with construction workers, fled the scene
and Somjai was taken to Pattaya Memorial Hospital.
