More than 300 Pattaya elderly folks
participate in a prayer session
for Her Majesty the Queen.

More than 330 Pattaya Elderly Club members
celebrated Mother’s Day by praying for HM the Queen on her 79th
birthday.
Pattaya Public Health and Environment Director
Wannaporn Chamchamrat and Elderly Club President Pranee Maneesarn
presided over the Pattaya City Hall event Aug. 2.
The Elderly Club members gave their thanks to HM
Queen Sirikit for her support of the city’s elderly health-promotion
campaign.
During the event, club members made merit by
offering food to monks, praying to Buddha and meditating. Shows,
including a blessing dance; karaoke and folk dancing followed.
Everyone finished with a big lunch.
Member Dongprai Suwantrai said events like these
helped him avoid loneliness and helped him meet friends and relax.
The next Elderly Club event will take place Oct. 14 to welcome
new members, with future meetings to take place Nov. 11 and Dec. 2.
