Merchants and residents around Walking Street donated two boats, food and drinking water to flood-relief efforts around Thailand.

Representatives from the Walking Street community presented the plastic rafts, instant noodles, rice, water and cash to Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome at Pattaya City Hall Oct. 28. The goods and money were donated by both locals and tourists.

Itthiphol thanked the neighborhood for its generosity and said the donations will be transferred to the Royal Thai Navy in Sattahip for distribution in flood-hit areas.
