A convicted thief recently released from prison has
been arrested for allegedly stealing a motorbike from a South Pattaya
home.
Narong Maleethes, 29, of Chachoengsao, was
apprehended by a neighbor on Soi Wat Thamsamakkee 4, Aug. 14. Police
charged with him theft.
Police said Narong confessed to stealing a
purple-and-white Yamaha Fino owned by Duanphen Chatsuwan, 21, after she
parked it in front of her sister’s house and left the key in the
ignition. Narong left his old motorbike behind.
According to police, Narong said he’d come to Pattaya
only four days ago, but was abandoned by friends, had no money and was
sleeping on Pattaya Beach. So he borrowed an old bike to scout the area
for easy-to-steal motorbikes.
He told police he’d recently been released from
prison where he’d been incarcerated for previous thefts.
