Hilton’s Eforea Spa opens to accolades

(L to R) Michel Scheffers (Director of Operations Hilton Pattaya), Chalaphan Muangkamchat (Spa Manager Hilton Pattaya), Harald Feurstein (General Manager Hilton Pattaya), Patson ‘Pat’ Sarindu, Kamala ‘Ning’ Kamphu Na Ayudhaya, Nattanin ‘Kae’ Kunanat, and Peta Ruiter (Director of Business Development Hilton Pattaya) make a celebratory toast during the launch of the Pattaya Hilton’s new Eforea Spa.

A handful of Thai celebrities, who’ve certainly sampled some of the best spas Thailand has to offer, stamped the Pattaya Hilton’s new Eforea Spa with their highest seal of approval as the hotel officially opened the doors on its new luxury service.

The spa offers state of the art treatments in a luxurious setting with stunning ocean views.

Television idols Kamala “Ning” Kamphu Na Ayudhaya, Nattanin “Kae” Kunanat and Patson `Pat`Sarindu were among the first to sample the top-brand treatments at Eforea, an 880 sq. meter facility that opened May 21. All three pronounced their treatments as the best they’ve ever had.

The second Eforea in Thailand, the Pattaya Hilton’s spa offers six private treatment pavilions containing state of the art equipment, personal changing areas, steam showers and private relaxation spaces.

The spa offers state of the art treatments in a luxurious setting with stunning ocean views.

Eforea also features some of the world’s best-regarded products both on the treatment menu and in the retail area, including Kerstin Florian, LI’TYA and VitaMan.

“The Kerstin Florian products are very popular in the United States. After using the service you feel soft, comfortable and very relaxed, because of the experts taking care of every step of your treatment from head to toe,” Kamala said. “You don’t fee muscle aches afterward, unlike some other spas where you’re sore or have bruises afterward. Furthermore, it has a view of nature looking outward to the Pattaya Beach.”

The Hilton’s pampering begins in the lobby, which features lighting that grows in intensity as you approach the treatment rooms.

The changing area offers changing rooms with or without showers and a care section within the thermal lounge. The transition or relaxation area helps the guest to chill out and the treatment rooms are cozy and intimate refuges, which are all equipped with an integrated sound and aroma system that creates a relaxing wellness atmosphere by spreading fragrances and relaxant music throughout the rooms.

As for the treatments, Eforea focuses on three core wellness treatments: “External Journey” using Kerstin Florian products; “Escape Journey” with LI´TYA goods and “Men’s Journey” using items from the VitaMan line.

“Essential Journey” uses Kerstin Florian products and corrective facial care with “micro-current technology.” The treatment combines natural and medical cosmetic agents and a progressive non-invasive lifting technique.

With “Escape Journey,” treatment is based on natural products and alternative healing methods branded as Hilton “Head to Toe Revitalization.”

“With products rich in plant extracts and berries from Australia, the treatment is really natural,” Natthanin said. “During treatment there are burning herb flowers giving off smoke and smells of baking in the room for calmness and more relaxation.”

Males are invited to try the “Men’s Journey” treatment offering “body repair” massage with hot bamboo developed for Hilton spas. The rest of the treatment employs the Australian men’s products from VitaMan.

The three celebrities talk about their experience of the new Eforea Spa and give it their full endorsement.

Chinese property developers struggle as gov’t cools market

With the government’s ongoing and persistent efforts to cool the red-hot property market, Chinese property developers are struggling to sell properties while becoming more encumbered with debt.

The debt of the country’s property developers rose 41.27 percent year on year to 1.05 trillion yuan (about 161.53 million US dollars) by the end of March, the Wind Information, a Shanghai-based financial data provider, said in a recent report.

Of 113 listed property developers that had filed their first-quarter reports to Chinese stock exchanges, 25 reported profit losses and 42 registered slower profit growth rates from January to March. Most of them are small and medium-sized property developers.
The country’s top three property developers, China Vanke, Poly Real Estate Group Co., and the Gemdale Corp. also saw moderate declines in profit growth during the period.

“The recent government control over its property market has restrained half of the demand. Small property developers will first feel the pinch,” said Zhang Dawei, an analyst with the Beijing-based Centaline Property. (Xinhua)
