A Banglamung man was arrested for allegedly snatching
a gold necklace from the neck of a Russian tourist.
Boonthuan Gulther, 24, was apprehended June 8 after
he crashed his Honda Wave motorbike while trying to escape the scene
with an unidentified partner who escaped. Police found him with a 15,000
gold necklace in his hand.
Victim Moseeva Evgeniya, 27, said she was walking
near a Family Mart at the intersection of Soi 1 and Second Road when the
Thai men drove by and grabbed her jewelry. She fell, leaving her with a
sore neck and scratched elbow.
Police said Boonthuan confessed to this and two
earlier snatchings and gave information on how to find his partner.
