A 4-year-old Cambodian boy died after accidentally being
electrocuted while playing hide and seek.
Chian Chiew was pronounced dead April 24 at Bangkamung Hospital after the
accident in a Nong Plalai construction camp. The child had obvious
electrical burns on his leg and back.
Parents Chian and Kem Piab said their fifth child had been playing hide and
seek with friends while they were away working. A 7-year-old pal found Chian
Chiew lying unconscious in a room constructed of tin that had come into
contact with live current from a makeshift wire connection on a nearby tree.
