Venerable father Phra Kru
Pinitkitjarak, the abbot of Nongprue Temple, feeds cattle saved from the
slaughterhouse.
Jetsada Homklin
Nongprue Temple held a redemption ceremony for cattle and
captured living animals presided over by venerable monk Phra Kru
Pinitkitjarak and Nongprue Mayor Mai Chaiyanit.
Before cutting the ribbon, the monk said prayers and released fish and
other captured animals, then led monks and people to feed flowers to the
cattle.
The eight rescued cattle were bought with 220,000 baht donated by
residents and local government offices. They were selected by the
Banglamung Veterinary Office and will be given to poor farmers under
conditions that they are not to be killed nor sold and used only for
breeding.
The objectives were to make merit for venerable father Phra Kru
Pinitkitjarak on the occasion of his birthday and to promote moral and
ethics for people.
