The Father Ray Foundation raised more than 850,000 baht from its St.
Patrick’s Day parade in Pattaya.
Foundation President Rev. Michael Picharn Jaiseri announced results of
the popular March 17 fundraising parade at a city hall press conference
March 28. He told sponsors, benefactors and other guests that the parade
generated profits of 850,428 baht after expenses.
The money, he said, will be used for the 850 children under the
foundation’s care.
“St. Patrick’s Day is another activity that promotes tourism. Therefore
Pattaya is more than happy to sponsor the parade,” said City Councilman
Rattanachai Sutidechanai. “The event is more magnificent every year,
creating much diversity for tours within the city. It is a celebration
between Pattaya residents and the Irish and also is a charity event. We
are delighted to sponsor this event every year.”
