Pottery course, free glasses to be offered to Pattaya residents

Pattaya will provide vocational training and free eyeglasses to
benefit the city’s women and disabled during 2014.
At a March 25 city council committee meeting, the Community Economic
Development Office said it will hold a pottery course to develop women’s
vocational skills May 7- 10 at the Ruen Thai restaurant. The two,
two-day courses run 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
In September, the Social Welfare and Development Department will provide
glasses to children and the elderly. This follows earlier programs
featuring donations of wheelchairs to the disabled and canes to the
blind. The projects are funded by the Chonburi Provincial Administrative
Organization, Chonburi Social Development Office and various charity
organizations.
Social Welfare officials also reported that 110 people had registered
the for the April 1-3 event to promote family harmony held at the
Wangree Resort in Nakhon Nayok.
