About 200 Pattaya-area children enjoyed a day of swimming and football
at a city sports-training clinic.
City Councilmen Praiwan Arromchuen and Woraphot Pongphalee opened the
April 1-10 event at the Pattaya Youth and Marine Ecology Center.
The 196,110 baht clinic was aimed at providing students from
kindergarten to Mattayom 6 a strong foundation in education management,
including physical fitness by playing Thai, local and international
sports. Sports also provides a diversion away from drug use, they said.
A fourth of the students enjoyed swimming, while about 150 played
football during the event, which ran through April 10.
