The owner of a Honda CRV who struck and killed a pregnant cow near
Pattaya wants police to find its owner to pay for auto repairs.
Nopadol Chaowamongkol, 24, called police May 16 to report he had struck the
white Brahman cow on Sukhumvit Road about 100 meters south of Soi Chaiyapruek.
The cow and its unborn calf died instantly.
The Ban Chang resident said he was traveling at about 100 kph when the cow ran
onto Sukhumvit in front of him. He was too close to stop in time. The CRV
suffered both body and windshield damage.
While he said he has car insurance, Nopadol said he wants police to find the
cow’s owner so he can take responsibility for the loose cattle.
