into custody and charged with beating his girlfriend to death.

A woman’s boyfriend has been arrested for allegedly killing her in a
drunken rage.
Suthep Sangsawang, 38, was taken into custody around 8:30 a.m. Oct. 16,
still drunk. In the middle of his TT Guesthouse room lay girlfriend
Arunratsami Prakon, 39, who had been beaten badly. Numerous empty whiskey
bottles were scattered around the room.
Nipa Ruangsri, a food vendor across the street from the hotel, told police
the couple had been living together for a while, but recently Arunratsami
started going with a Swiss man who sent her regular payments.
The evening before Arunratsami was murdered, Suthep went to her stall to
drink whiskey and returned to his room around 10 p.m. After that, she heard
a loud argument break out between the two.
The next morning, she told police, Suthep came over and told Nipa to call
paramedics.
