attended the celebration of the Phase II buildings of the Garden
International School, Rayong, at the Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel in Bangkok.
The Grand Ballroom of the Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel in
Bangkok on Wednesday, 27 November was the scene for one of Garden
International School’s (Rayong) greatest successes. The celebration of the
development of the new school buildings was a lovely occasion. The school
band and choir performed exceptionally well; a selection of classics like
Swan Lake and more modern Beatles numbers. The violin soloists were quite
excellent.
H.E. Khun Anand Panyarachun, K.B.E., the Chairman of the Board of Governors
expressed his delight at the performances as did the invited audience of
Ambassadors and Managing Directors of major companies. Khun Anand unveiled a
plaque to commemorate the occasion. Students, staff and parents are to be
congratulated on their marvelous efforts.
The Phase II buildings are due for completion in readiness for the next
academic year. They will contain specialist Technology, Science, Music, Art,
Home Economics and Computer Facilities as well as a multi-purpose hall.
There will also be a specially built boarding hostel.
