Photisamphan Pitayakhan School founder honored

Forty one years ago, Luang Pho Boonmee established the Photisamphan Phitayakhan School. Therefore, it was with great pleasure that Banglamung district chief Vichien Chawalit, and the director of the school, Anant Phradesco led a ceremony on the morning of July 10th to honor the school’s founder.

Pinyo Tanwised, the president of the Chonburi provincial administration, presided over the opening of the Photisamphan Phitayakhan School’s newly renovated football field, honoring the school’s founder, Luang Pho Boonmee.

In keeping with tradition, a procession of 42 monks began the ceremony, and teachers and students provided food and floral offerings. Nine monks then performed the prayers and chants which continued the ritual and sanctified this auspicious occasion.

Funds to support the 129 students who attend both primary and secondary grades at Photisamphan Phitayakhan School were presented at the ceremony, and all the people who made generous contributions were publicly acknowledged and thanked for their support. Expedited by Rewat Phonluk-In and members of Banglamung’s provincial council, the school received a budget allocation of B500,000 to complete renovations.

The afternoon’s agenda included Pinyo Tanwised, the president of the Chonburi provincial administration, presiding over the opening of the school’s newly renovated football field.

Holiday Inn hosts lunch for orphans

The hosts amongst the children from left are Earth Saiswang, Somchanok Udomdheja, Adam Wilding, Apisak Chadista, Anirut Chutinan, Angelique Legnel, and staff members.

The Management and Staff of Holiday Inn Crown Plaza Bangkok recently hosted lunch and donated educational equipment for 1,350 orphans at Wat Srakaew, Angthong Province.

Interact Club of Banglamung installs new President and Board of Directors

Ten years of useful activities that help young people in society was cause for a celebration for the Interact Club of Banglamung, held on the evening of July 5th at the district office community building. Members of the Rotary Club of Jomtien-Pattaya and supporters of the school’s Interact Club attended the festivities, and installed new administrators for the year 2001-2002.

Former Miss Thailand World Cindy Burbridge congratulates the new president of the Interact Club of Banglamung for the coming year, Miss Benchathip Praphrytchob.

Past District 3340 governor Premprecha Dibbayawan joined Alvi Sinthuvanik, the recently installed president of the Jomtien-Pattaya Rotary Club (2001-2002) in applauding the accomplishments of the Interact Group, and congratulated the newly appointed administrators.

Premprecha described the Interact Club as a shining example for others to follow and added that members have reason to be very proud of their achievements over the years. They have striven to help young people in need, and endeavored to improve society with little regard for personal gratification.

Banglamung School director, Khun Wanphen Rawdthongkham first founded the Interact Group in 1992, under the guidance of the Jomtien-Pattaya Rotary Club, with members of the student body who were attending the last four grades in high school (M3-6). Current director, Prasit Luangthong now supervises the group’s activities.

Jomtien-Pattaya Rotary Club president, Alvi Sinthuvanik applauded the accomplishments of the Interact Club, and congratulated the newly appointed administrators.

Miss Benchathip Praphrytchob is the new president for the coming year, and will be leading her members in finding new ways to assist the community and those in need. Other members of the board include Nopadol Somsungnern, vice president, Miss Sithorn Krathumthong, secretary, Miss Sophid Thamkarndee, Phriya Chantarachrat, Warong Chaiaree, Miss Supatra Mankhong, Miss Suchada Sittisakulchai, Pipat Kerdklang, Paitun Panprasong, Suttisak Theptasaeng, Winit Dolkhunsap, and Miss Thepsuda Chuakhamchu.

Pattaya Sports Club donates trophies and sports equipment to Banglamung Schools

Pattaya Sports Club members recently visited the Banglamung School district office to donate trophies and sports equipment for the ongoing Banglamung inter-school sports competitions. This competition involves all of the 32 schools in the Banglamung area. Lek Ishinaga was also involved in the donation, representing her husband, Herbie Ishinaga, the PSC Sports promotion chairman.
