Clubs

The Pattaya International Ladies Club will host their monthly coffee morning on Tuesday November 19 from 10:30 a.m. at Cabbages & Condoms Restaurant, Soi 4 Pratamnak (opposite Asia Hotel). Members and guests, ladies of all nationalities are welcome. Ladies, you can pick up a copy the monthly newsletter ‘hot off the press’.

The Skål Club of Pattaya and East Thailand will host their November meeting at Auguste Renoir Restaurant, Flamingo Hotel (at the Day Night Bazaar) from 12 noon, Thursday, November 21 when the committee will present feedback from the Cairns Congress. Pattaya Expats Club – expats helping expats. Sunday brunch meeting at Henry J Beans, on the north end of Beach Road just down from the Dolphin Roundabout from 10.30 a.m. There is also an open forum for members to ask anything and everything about living in Pattaya.

Pattaya Animal Welfare Foundation (PAWS) - approved and registered charitable foundation of volunteers dedicated to providing humane and systematic population control over stray animals. Dining

Even while living in Pattaya, you don’t have to miss out on this year’s hunting or game season. Hans at the Paradise Cafe and Grill is preparing an exciting and exotic new food promotion throughout November. Featuring venison, wild boar, ostrich, kangaroo and crocodile steaks. Events

The British Chamber of Commerce Thailand will host their next ‘networking night’ this Friday November 15 at the Royal Varuna Yacht Club from 6 p.m. All nationalities are welcome to this international style networking night.

Pattaya Marriott Fitness Club, IP Organizer Ltd. and Pattaya City Hall are all joining together to arrange an ‘Aerobics Marathon on the Beach” on Saturday November 16th at Jomtien Beach (opposite the Somprasong Condo). The PILCA Night in Venice” Charity Gala Ball will be held Saturday November 23 in the newly renovated elegant Siam Ballroom at the Royal Cliff Beach Resort. Ticket sales are going well and PILC are hoping for a sell out. Admission is by ticket only; so don’t leave it too late. The tables are set for 8 or 10 and the price is 1,500 baht per ticket for a four-course dinner with wine. During the evening a fund raising auction will be held and dancing to a wonderful live band until 2:00 a.m. Dress is formal, gentlemen jacket and tie. The theme is purple and gold. Entertainment

The Prince of Wales, Soi Khao Noi (Formosa) is really up and running. Pool, darts, cribbage, movies, sports and a better menu. Cookie still offers free pub grub every Friday night and a now a ‘beer and brunch fest’ @ 149 baht from 10 a.m. Sundays. Nice staff, nice atmosphere and always fun. Pay them a visit, you’ll enjoy it.

Exhibitions

The Icon Hotel Pattaya launched a new art exhibition entitled ‘New Friends’. The art exhibition features the works of international artist Symon and is open daily from 10 a.m. until November 22, when the art will be auctioned off at the end of the exhibition. The Central Festival Center Pattaya on Second Road, North Pattaya displays the finest styles of Dragon Chinese ceramic art this coming Friday with the Chinese Ceramic Fair at the Central Court (near the Brewery House), beginning at 4 p.m.

Au Bon Coin is holding an Art Exhibition displaying the works of four local artists: Laemthong Promphan with oil painting impression styles; Chatchai Kaesornchareon, photographs; Jiang Chaejern with Chinese ink mono-prints and Bancha Kijemrej exhibiting literary and art productions of the “Thai elephant crisis’. The exhibition runs until November 30. Au Bon Coin is located on Soi 5, off Pattaya Second Road.

Loy Krathong
