Motorcyclist killed in Naklua hit-and-run

Theerarak Suthathiwong

Police are searching for the driver of Mitsubishi pickup truck that struck and killed a Nonthaburi man in a hit-and-run accident in Naklua.

The unidentified 47-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the Sukhumvit Road accident site April 21. A somtam vendor who witnessed the collision said the motorcyclist was making a turn when the silver pickup simply sped through the intersection, hitting the back wheel of the dead man’s Honda, sending him flying.

The pickup paused for a moment, then fled the scene.

Police later found the vehicle in front of Baan Nawang School but the driver had vanished.
