A British man died after turning a pistol on himself at a
central Pattaya shooting range.
Andrew Michael Davis, 42, was captured by closed-circuit
television cameras aiming a rented .357 Magnum handgun at a target at the
small one-booth range next to a Central Road beer bar, then putting the gun
to his chin before pulling the trigger. A shooting range attendant was too
late to stop him.
Employee Kritsana Sae-Ngao, 25, said the Brit had already
fired 15 rounds with the gun and he had moved behind the shooter when the
suicide occurred.
British media reported Davis moved to Thailand from
Stockport after a divorce four years ago and had been living in a single
rented room. Just hours before his suicide, he reportedly had had drinks
with friends visiting from his hometown. Davis is survived by two children.
