More than 50 area police officers learned basic first aid and life
support in a first-of-its-kind seminar offered by Bangkok Hospital Pattaya.
Officers from Pattaya, Banglamung and Sattahip stations joined the June 27
class at the Pattaya Hospital.
Hospital executives said the course was organized as police are often the
first responders to accidents and have the greatest potential to save lives.
Sarayuth Pongphumma, an expert on emergency resuscitation, led the training
on first aid and resuscitation, sharing information on the reasons for
cardiac arrest and the initial steps that can be taken to care for victims.
Officers were guided through the CPR processes and trained on basic help
that can be provided to victims before ambulances arrive.
