first aid, rescue and evacuation training program for about 200
tourist-sector businesspeople.

entrepreneurs about the importance of tourism to the city and the damage
that this year’s string of fatal accidents is having on Pattaya
revenues.

12-13 workshop at the Eastern Grand Palace Hotel on Soi Khao Talo
organized in the wake of this month’s deadly ferry sinking off Koh Larn.
Thanthip becomes the latest bureaucrat to preach safety following a
Pattaya marine accident.
Over the two days, attendees were shown rescue demonstrations, and
taught how to evacuate injuries, assist victims of marine accidents, use
emergency radios and basic first aid.
Together with Pattaya and Tourist police officers, Thanthip lectured
tourism-industry entrepreneurs about the importance of tourism to the
city and the damage that this year’s string of fatal accidents is having
on Pattaya revenues.
Thanthip told the businesspeople they need to heed safety regulations
and offer better security for tourists.
