Chonburi Red Cross officials got to work for the new
year, catching up regional members on ongoing projects.
Bussarawadee Ekachai chaired the Jan. 7 meeting, with Chonburi Deputy
Governor Pongsak Preechawit recapping works the organization had done
last year. Projects included giving help to women, the elderly,
handicapped and disaster victims through the Matcha Charity Shop during
Phra Phuttha Sihing and Songkran.
The group also participated in Chonburi mobile-government projects to
provide scholarships, eyeglasses and relief packages. The group also ran
the Red Cross Build Homes for Homeless to honor HM the Queen’s 80th
birthday.
The latest meeting was called to update the progress of various
projects. A new governing committee also was elected. (CPRD)
