Pattaya-area residents donated more than 50,000 cc of blood at
Central Festival Pattaya Beach’s first blood drive of the year.
Puchong Wannapornsiri, human resources manager at the beachfront mall,
led the Feb. 24 drive for the Chonburi Red Cross. Many Central Festival
Pattaya Beach employees, tourists and residents rolled up their sleeves
to donate 170 units of blood for a total of 52,900 cc.
“Every blood drive has received a good response from employees and
citizens, evidenced by the more than 100 units donated,” Puchong said.
“We have not advertised, so it has been word of mouth that has led to an
increase in the number of people donating blood.”
This marks the fourth consecutive year Central Festival has run blood
drives. Red Cross officials advised people can donate three times a
year.
