Fresh off two successful December events, the Pattaya Cultural
Council is planning more functions between April and August.
President Mana Yapracom said the council is planning a “wan lai”
water-splashing festival and sand pagodas building at Wat Chaimongkol in
April and a “Great Mother” project in for HM the Queen’s birthday in
August.
Mana also reviewed the council’s Father’s Day event to honor HM the King
on his Dec. 5 birthday. The project was funded with 100,000 baht from
city hall and 180,600 in private donations, he said.
Group members also had been encouraged to participate in
council-sponsored New Year’s events at area temples on Dec. 31 and Jan.
1. All received great support, he said.
