New minimum wage rates announced
The Ministry of Labour and Social Security announced that beginning October
1, 1996, they have adjusted the minimum wage per day according to region.
The wage rates are as follows:
Bangkok, Nakorn Pathom, Nonthaburi, Samut Prakarn, Samut Sakhorn, Pathum
Thani and Phuket: 157 Baht per day.
Chonburi, Chiang Mai, Nakorn Ratchasima, Phangga Ranong, and Saraburi: 137
Baht per day.
In Rayong and all other provinces: 128 Baht per day.
This announcement is from the Government and is for the information of all
citizens of Thailand.
