Earth Spell, a ceramics exhibition by Chonburi native,
Panchalie Sathirasas is showing from now until November 24 at the Pridi
Banomyong Institute on Sukhumvit 55, Bangkok. There are places where the
waters have carved out a landscape of mountain, rock, and rugged islets. Wind
and rain over countless seasons have weathered the outlines to a strange
beauty that is at once mysterious, serene, and remote. The scene leads to a
wisdom, which gives balance to life and instills the mind with a sense of
peace and calm. The artist, too, fashions the surfaces of the pieces she
creates to suggest the quiet beauty of such scenery. The one who handles and
uses them earns a wisdom, which leads to harmony with nature. Earth Spell
is open daily from 10 a.m. till 8 p.m.
